This style of tsuba is called "Heianjo-Shiki Shinchu-Zogan Sukashi Tsuba".
This type of tsuba were mostly made in Yamashiro Province during the latter part of the Muromachi period (1392 - 1573) to the early part of the Edo period (1603 - 1868).
Samurai at the age of Civil Wars loved this type of tsuba as they are so beautiful.
Heianjo means Yamashiro Province where is now Kyoto Prefecture.
