Owari-Zukashi-Tsuba
|
|
The best two of openworked tsuba are Owari-Zukashi and Kyo-Zukashi.
Owari-Zukashi-Tsuba were produced around Owari Province (=Now Aichi
Prefecture) from the latter part of the Muromachi period, through
the Momoyama period, to the beginning of the Edo period.
The feature of this kind of tsuba is thicker and more powerful than
Kyo-Zukashi because usefulness in fighting was regarded as the most
important matter.
