Owari-Zukashi-Tsuba

The best two of openworked tsuba are the Owari-Zukashi and the Kyo-Zukashi.
Owari-Zukashi-Tsuba were produced around Owari Province (=Now Aichi
Prefecture) from the latter part of the Muromachi period, through
the Momoyama period, to the beginning of the Edo period.
The feature of the Owari-Zukashi-Tsuba is that it is thicker and more powerful than
Kyo-Zukashi because usefulness in fighting was regarded as the most important matter.
