Sakuma Yoshihide

Sakuma Yoshihide is famous tsuba craftsman in Edo area (=Now Tokyo) at the latter part of the Edo period (Around 1820).
He was good at high relief carving.
His another name is Yuosai.He was independent and never belonged to any tsuba school.

Features
Shakudo This tsuba is made of Shakudo (red copper, alloy of copper and gold).
Aori-Gata This type of shape is called "Aori-Gata".
Wan-Gata It is bended like a bowl.
Zogan The child is inlaid with brass (alloy of copper and zinc).
